MOUSE!!!

Ok so the above schematic gives you the scene that was this morning. I went to make mybreakfast - a lettuce and cheese sandwiched, toasted, no butter - and I was picking through the last bits of lettuce getting the best ones. I made a little pile of lettuce to use and went to throw the bad stuff out when I found amouse on top of the garbage can!! Without screaming I went upstairs and got dave and when we came down, it was gone. As was some of my lettuce!
So my thoughts are this: the mice have been watching me, studying my routine until today. The mouse in the garbage can was a decoy to make me leave my lettuce unattended. While I got Dave, another mouse, possibly two mice, stole my lettuce and took off to enjoy it with their mouse buddies. Clever mice - but they must go.
Traps are being set. Or a cat is being rented - though all the guys are allergic to cats so that won't work - but traps are being set! There will be no mice in house.

Back to Work.

So lately I have been able to do only a couple of hours of homework during the weekend, since I have been more or less, keeping up to date with it. I am still caught up, but the courseload is starting tog et heavier. This weekend I have an 'essay' to write about whistleblowing in the field of Professional Engineering, notes to write up (as usual) and a bunch of research to do for my design project. It doesn't sound like much, but the design project is turning out to be a lot of work, although that was expected fromt he get go.

Yesterday I went and spoke to the Environmental Engineer at Keller Engineering since they are designing the Anaerobic Digestor (he called it AD) in real life for the same farm we are designing for in schoo life. He was from Sweden and was really quite interesting, even though he didn't seem to completely understand what our project was about or really what environmental engineering student meant. But yeah, the firm is not even a minutes walk fro my house. I have applied there before but I was only in second year and didn't have any real knowledge at all about environmental engineering. I am hoping to apply there again this summer, although I am not expecting much, it is a small firm and they only have one environmental engineer on staff, although they all seemed so nice when I was there.
